An AI Agent is your assistant that answers questions using the content you connect (website pages, files, or both).
This page covers how to create an agent and what each option means.
Create a new agent#

Log in to the Agents Portal.
Choose the agent category#
You will see two choices:Public Website Assistant#
Choose this when the agent will be used by your website visitors.Customer support (FAQs, policies, troubleshooting)
Sales and pre-sales (pricing, features, comparisons)
Lead generation (guiding users, collecting intent, routing queries)
This agent learns from your website content using crawling.Private Knowledge Base#
Choose this when the agent is for your team and staff (or restricted users).SOPs, process documentation, internal training
HR policies, onboarding docs
Client documents for internal delivery teams
This agent can be protected via password, and can use files, website pages, or both.
Create Public Website Assistant#
When you select Public Website Assistant, a form appears.Website Base URL#
The main website address the agent should learn from.
Example: https://yourdomain.comUse the base domain. You can add specific pages later.
Agent Name#
A name to identify your agent in the dashboard and inside the widget.Language#
Default language used by the agent.Agent Purpose (for classification only)#
Agent Purpose is only for classification/labeling so you can organize your agents easily.
It does not change the agent’s intelligence by itself.Description#
A short description of what the agent should do (shown during setup).
Keep it specific and outcome-driven.“Answer questions about pricing, features, and policies. Help users contact sales when needed.”
“Support visitors with setup steps, troubleshooting, and account questions.”
Start crawling#
After filling the form, click Create Agent and Start Crawling.Creates the agent immediately
Starts crawling your website content using the base URL
If the agent has no pages linked, it will not have website knowledge yet.
You can add more pages anytime from Webpages in the left menu.
Create Private Knowledge Base Agent#
When you select Private Knowledge Base, you create a restricted agent for internal knowledge.Name#
Language#
Default language for responses.Select Agent Purpose (for classification only)#
Agent Purpose is only for classification/labeling so you can organize your agents easily.
It does not change the agent’s intelligence by itself.Description (Max 100 chars)#
A short line that tells what this agent is responsible for.“Answer SOP questions for operations team.”
“Internal product knowledge assistant.”

AI Agent Type#
Choose how this agent will learn:Uses both linked webpages and linked files.
Best for internal portals, client websites plus internal PDFs, combined knowledge.
Generic (Chatbot without custom data)No custom website/files knowledge.
Best for simple conversational agents that do not need training sources.
Access Type#
Choose who can access the agent:If you choose Password, users will need a password to use the agent.Create#
Click Create to finish. The agent will appear in your AI Agents list.
Next steps after creating#
After the agent is created, click View Dashboard on the agent card.Customize appearance and AI behavior in Quick Setup

Link files in Files (files must be uploaded via File Manager first)
